It’s no longer *User* Interface Design. This is from @daringfireball scathing write up daringfireball.net/2021/10/the_tragedy_of_safari_15_quote_unquote_tabs I wonder why or where we lost the user focus? I’m a bit afraid it’s for the same reason @danluu can’t find info on errors. Because it does not matter for success?

@daringfireball @danluu It’s not only Apple, I’ve seen so many examples for where looks take priority. New design of an app? Yep you can be sure they lost a few features (which they are “working hard to bring back in a future release”) Was it always so?

@daringfireball @danluu Another example... I assume someone at Apple put a number on "Converting to SwiftUI" But not on "Number of bugs" And to tie back to Dan's observation that sw quality does not matter This will have 0 effect on $AAPL macstories.net/stories/ios-and-ipados-15-the-macstories-review/12/#technical-issues https://t.co/SwRTR35soc
